Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compatibility, performance and reliability of mainframe storage subsystems by installing, configuring and maintaining them.
  • Perform storage capacity planning and provisioning to meet current and future storage requirements effectively.
  • Configure and manage storage management software and utilities to automate storage administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor storage performance and resource utilization, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and optimizing data placement.
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and data replication solutions for mainframe storage systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, database administrators and application teams to support data backup and recovery operations and data migration projects.
  • Develop documentation, procedures and standards for storage administration tasks.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and end-users, troubleshooting and resolving storage-related issues.
