Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess communication abilities using standardised tests and informal evaluations.
  • Develop Individualised Therapy Plans (ITPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, fluency, language comprehension, and expressive communication.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents to support integrated student development.
  • Monitor and document progress and adapt plans as needed.
  • Educate staff and caregivers on communication strategies and support techniques.
  • Participate in ITP meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid certification or license to practice as a Speech Therapist (as per local regulations).
  • 3 to 7 years working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and instructional strategies.
  • Patient, empathetic, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive aids.
