Job Overview

A Project Design Engineer is required to lead electrical design, product development, and project execution within the automotive, battery, or EV sector.

  • Lead project execution from inception to production start.
  • Develop product requirements, prototype samples, cost estimates, and testing plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to meet deliverables and timelines.
  • Drive engineering solutions through design reviews, FMEA, and risk mitigation.
  • Build relationships with customers to identify opportunities.
  • Partner with manufacturing for new product launches, cost reduction initiatives, and tooling requirements.
  • Create and manage project timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum).
  • 7+ years' experience in automotive, battery, EV sensor, or related product environment.
  • Strong communication skills – fluent in English (written & spoken).
  • Proficient in technical report writing and public speaking.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment/tools for development, testing, and validation.
  • Expertise in circuit design, schematic layout, and DFM for PCBAs with contract manufacturers.
  • Skilled in the design of experiments and product validation testing.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
