Backend Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Data Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

Design and implement scalable data pipelines, integrating external systems and interfaces.

  • Development of data extraction pipelines using API-first approach with Python/TypeScript libraries.
  • Parsing and normalization of job postings and CVs, including deduplication and delta logic.
  • Embeddings and similarity search using Azure OpenAI and vector persistence in PostgreSQL.
  • Integrations with HR systems via APIs/webhooks/CSV import, SerpAPI, and email/SMTP.
  • Batch/stream processing using Azure Functions/container jobs with retry/backoff and dead-letter queues.
  • Telemetry for data quality, including freshness, duplicate rate, coverage, and cost per 1,000 items.
