Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume responsibility for ensuring the highest quality of video streaming services.

About the Role:

This position entails testing video streaming protocols, workflows, and applications to guarantee seamless playback, user experience, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of OTT platform testing requirements and have a proven track record of identifying and resolving defects efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases for video playback, UI/UX, and streaming performance on various platforms (iOS, Android, Roku, Smart TVs, web browsers) and CDNs (e.g., Akamai, CloudFront).
  • Validate content delivery across multiple platforms and ensure compatibility with protocols like HLS and DASH.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing for OTT applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, DevOps) to guarantee high-quality releases.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, or custom Python scripts.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1-2 years in the OTT or media streaming industry.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
  • Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of CDNs, DRM systems, and OTT monetization workflows.
