Wordpress Developer Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Wordpress-based websites.

  • Develop custom Wordpress themes and plugins based on client specifications.
  • Customize existing Wordpress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionality.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing to identify and resolve issues before deployment.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Wordpress websites, including troubleshooting and bug fixes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in Wordpress development.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
  • Strong understanding of Wordpress architecture, themes and plugins.
  • Hubspot CMS experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) is a plus.
  • Experience with custom coding in Wordpress, including developing custom functionality, hooks and filters.
  • Proficiency in PHP and MySQL for customizing Wordpress functionality beyond standard themes and plugins.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug custom code efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress coding standards and best practices for maintaining clean, efficient and secure code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when implementing custom solutions to meet project requirements.
