Job Role: Finance Manager

The finance team plays a pivotal role in driving business success. The department has evolved from internal accounting to a key function supporting all areas of the organization.

The Finance Manager oversees accounting operations, ensuring financial reports are accurate and compliant with established principles and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting: Ensure compliance with US and India GAAP, review and finalize monthly financial records, and guarantee accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Maintain a comprehensive compliance calendar, manage vendor invoices, review tax filings, and ensure adherence to periodic regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis and Process Set Up: Provide financial support to the executive team, calculate commissions, and oversee the development of financial accounting systems.
  • People / Stakeholder Management: Manage a team of accounting professionals, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and establish a strong service culture.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Skillset:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Zohobooks, and QuickBooks.
  • Deep understanding of India and US GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the SaaS business model and key performance metrics.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

Experience required:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Overall experience of about 4-6 years is required.
  • Experience working at a funded start-up for 2+ years is desirable.
