Job Summary:

This position oversees the overall kitchen operations and ensures seamless execution of culinary services. A seasoned leader with a proven track record of success, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of culinary practices, and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and evaluates direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure team members meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors and manages inventory levels, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Develops and implements effective training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Provides input on personnel actions, including new hire requests and terminations, to ensure adequate staffing and maintain a positive work environment.

Culinary Operations:

  • Coordinates daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Reviews and revises menu offerings to ensure they align with business objectives and meet customer demands.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.

Leadership Skills:

  • Leads by example, demonstrating strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Coaches and develops team members, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Effectively communicates vision, goals, and expectations to team members.
  • Empowers team members to make decisions and take ownership of their work.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably as a Sous Chef or higher.
  • Proven track record of success in leading kitchen teams and driving business growth.
  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution and/or certifications such as Certified Culinarian (CC) or Certified Executive Chef (CEC).
