Job Overview
Robbosoft Technologies seeks a seasoned Spark and Scala Developer to spearhead the development of our big data infrastructure. With a strong background in technical skills and functional expertise, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our company's data management capabilities.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable and fault-tolerant systems using Apache Spark and Scala. Your expertise in data processing, performance tuning, memory management, and scalability will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our data pipelines. Additionally, your knowledge of Hive, Sqoop, Data warehousing, and information management best practices will enable us to make informed decisions about our data infrastructure.

Technical Requirements:
  • Must have 4+ years of IT experience with a focus on big data technologies.
  • Excellent proficiency in Spark and Scala, including object-oriented programming concepts, collections, and pattern matching.
  • Experience with streaming systems like Spark Streaming and Storm is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Unix shell scripting and ability to write efficient scripts.

Bonus Skills:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in CS/IT/ECE stream is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and manage timelines effectively.
  • Understanding of No-SQL databases, such as Cassandra, is desired but not required.
