Network Security Solutions Developer

Our company invites applications for the role of Network Security Solutions Developer.

This position involves contributing to the development of cutting-edge products for network security. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the appliance stack, collaborating with other team members, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or related field, along with 3-6 years of experience in software development or testing. Strong skills in C/C++ programming are essential, while knowledge of Linux boot loaders, kernel compilation, and networking stack internals is desirable.

A working knowledge of protocols such as Radius, Diameter, LDAP, DHCP, ARP, DNS, VPN, AAA, ACL, VLAN technologies, and deployment of Virtual Machines like Vmware would also be beneficial. The selected candidate should be able to work in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changes.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop the appliance stack.
  • Contribute to product design and development activities.
  • Interact with team members to gain understanding of product functionality.
  • Study and decipher documentation needed to accomplish tasks at hand.
  • Debug issues in the product reported by internal QA teams or in production by customers.
  • Document test plans as part of development activities.
Qualifications:
  • Must Have:
    • Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Instrumentation.
    • 3-6 years software development or testing experience in Networking Systems.
    • Ability to write as well as comprehend written code in C/C++ and/or Python programs.
    • Good academic record.
    • Good reading and comprehension skills to be able to read technical literature of Network Security products and make inferences.
    • Ability to operate Linux and Windows Operating System commands and related applications.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Additional skills that are good to have:
    • Good debugging skills, ability to inspect packet captures.
    • Understanding of Linux boot loaders, grub, kernel compilation, and networking stack internals, TCP/IP knowledge.
    • Knowledge of one or more protocols used in Network Security systems.
    • Client Server Programming knowledge.
    • Excellent analytical and program-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication, self-starter, and highly motivated.
