Software Engineer - Cloud Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team as a Cloud Technology Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable cloud-based systems using emerging technologies such as AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Kafka, and Spring Boot.

  • Design and develop cloud-based systems using emerging technologies like AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective technical solutions.
  • Conduct research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code using Agile methodology and tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and provide an escalation point for critical issues.
  • Actively monitor key metrics and report on trends.
  • Contribute to engineering automation, management, or development of production-level systems.
  • Perform reliability monitoring and support as needed to ensure products meet guest expectations.
Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor's degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Architecture preferred.
  • Six to Eight+ years of engineering experience.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with programming languages such as Java and Python.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with application development frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with cloud technologies and services such as AWS Lambda and AWS S3.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with data integration technologies such as Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with API-based system design.
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as Postgres and MongoDB.
  • Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD principals and tools like Gitlab, Splunk, and Datadog.
  • Good knowledge and working experience in Agile methodology and familiar with tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiar with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
