Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining network security policies, standards, and procedures. This includes deploying and maintaining access-list and firewall policies, as well as overseeing day-to-day configuration, administration, and monitoring of the network security infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold CCNP (Routing & Switching) and CCNP (Security) or Equivalent certifications
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in network security, with at least 5 years in Fortinet/Cisco Firewalls and IPS
  • Proficient in managing Firewall and NIPS solutions
  • Experience working with Windows, Linux, Unix environments
  • Hands-on experience commissioning and implementing various Firewall & NIPS solutions and integrating with management and authentication authorization tools
  • Manage policies and exceptions
  • Use packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of firewalls, NIPS, SSL, routing protocols, dual-factor authentication, and other products
  • Manage incident, problem, service request, change, configuration, capacity management of Firewall & NIPS Setup
  • Perform day-to-day BAU configuration changes
  • Proactively use network monitoring tools to isolate events before service degradation occurs
  • Support incident monitoring and incident analysis/response initiatives
  • Coordinate with users to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for any trouble tickets
  • Troubleshoot layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model
  • Apply security patches as required
  • Conduct daily performance checks on devices, periodic audits, and compliance
  • Perform immediate troubleshooting for any and all network outages reported by users, sensors, and/or operational personnel

  • Investigate, isolate, and resolve firewall & NIPS incidents with RCA
  • Coordinate helpdesk teams, other IT support teams, application support teams to jointly troubleshoot and fix high-priority/severity incidents
  • Identify areas for automation of operational efficiency
  • Work to automate and integrate tools with REST API/SDK with security dashboards, Infosec tools (AD, IDAM, PAM, SIEM, SOAR etc.)
