SB Author Position

We are seeking a skilled technical author to create and revise Service Bulletins (SBs) for the Airbus STD Airframe and Hydro Mech & Cargo domain.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in authoring SBs as per the requirements in the SBO, including configuration analysis, familiarity with Airbus standards, and technical analysis of criteria and related data sources.

The successful candidate will also have knowledge of SAP PCS and authoring tools in SAMM DACAS, TAKSY, GIDOCA, GYPSY, Airn@V, ZAMIZ, PASS SSCI, and APS. They should be familiar with cold working SB's and aircraft zone and access studies.

Key qualifications include a B.E / B. Tech in Aeronautics, B.E / B. Tech in mechanical engineering with aeronautical engineering industry exposure, or AME with airline and SB authoring experience.

Responsibilities
  • Creation and revision of Service Bulletin as per the requirements in the SBO.
  • Configuration analysis as per Airbus SB standard to identify pre- and post-drawings.
  • Familiarization with Airbus standards of S1000D, iSpec 2200, and ASD STE – 100.
  • Perform technical analysis of criteria and related data sources.
  • Knowledge of SAP PCS and authoring tools in SAMM DACAS, TAKSY, GIDOCA, GYPSY, Airn@V, ZAMIZ, PASS SSCI, APS.
  • Aircraft Zone and Access study to specify work location.
  • Carry out precise sequence of the authoring process described in the Quality Plan.
  • Estimate timeline and make realistic commitment with the project leader.
  • Active participation in customer communication for any queries.
  • Analyzing, Mock-up & Authoring in Arbor text or Epic editor for SB.
  • Maintaining the quality (RFT) and KPIs for the task assigned.
  • Managing workload and maintaining OTD (on-time deliveries) and quality.
  • Workflow process knowledge like quality check, INC & DCR.
  • Familiar in root cause analysis like 5 Why and 8D method (NCR).

The selected candidate will work closely with the project leader to estimate timelines, make realistic commitments, and participate in customer communication. They will analyze mock-ups, author SBs in Arbor text or Epic editor, and maintain quality and KPIs for assigned tasks.
