**Job Title:** Assistant Professor - Respiratory Therapy
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our academic team as an Assistant Professor in Respiratory Therapy at Shantha College of Allied Health Sciences.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in respiratory care, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to engage students in both theoretical and practical learning.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and clinical demonstrations in Respiratory Therapy and related subjects.
- Guide and mentor students in their academic projects, internships, and clinical rotations.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and academic reports in line with university standards.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Engage in research activities and contribute to publications in the field.
- Coordinate with hospitals and clinical partners for student training.
- Evaluate student performance through internal assessments and university examinations.
- Maintain discipline, professional ethics, and academic excellence in the classroom and campus.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
- Master's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy and relevant teaching/clinical experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching or clinical experience in a recognized institution or hospital.
- Experience in academic mentoring or curriculum planning is an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong subject knowledge and communication skills, Passion for teaching, mentoring, and research, Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and healthcare professionals.
