About this Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to lead our data initiatives and drive innovation. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and engaging directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Warehouse Design: Develop modern data warehouses using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers, driving technical excellence and innovation.
  • Customer Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and drive roadmap planning.
  • Data Modeling Challenges: Solve complex data modeling challenges and ensure smooth delivery of features.
  • Industry Trends: Apply modern marketing data suites and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with 4+ years leading teams.
  • Strong coding expertise: Python, JVM, and Shell scripting with production-grade experience.
  • 5+ years in cloud-native, data-intensive applications with mandatory AWS expertise.
  • Proven experience in Data Warehouse design & development using modern DW tools.
  • Hands-on with Databricks and dbt (mandatory).
  • Expert in Airflow (workflow orchestration).
  • Strong experience building & maintaining Spark applications.
  • Deep understanding of file formats: Parquet, Delta Lake, OTFs.
  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD).
  • Solid knowledge of unit testing & test automation frameworks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.
  • Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation).
  • Exposure to observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

Soft Skills:

  • Proactive, business-value-oriented mindset.
  • Strong documentation & communication skills.
  • Lead and mentor top engineering talent.
