Drive Commercial Excellence as a Deputy Manager Trade Analyst.

Job Overview:

The Deputy Manager Trade Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence and process optimization for India to MEG and LATAM sectors. This individual will be responsible for mastering and optimizing allocation control tools, monitoring vessel performance, analyzing booking reports, sourcing market intelligence, and recommending strategic actions to maximize filing factors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Streamline Booking Release Processes: Assist the back-office team in mastering and optimizing allocation control tools (CSA, COA, Traffic lights) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor Vessel Performance: Analyze daily positions, loading factors, and allocation to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct In-Depth Analysis: Examine booking reports in terms of commodities, customers, destinations, and allocation to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Source Reliable Market Intelligence: Gather information on rates and capacity adjustments to stay ahead of market changes.
  • Recommend Strategic Actions: Identify necessary steps to maximize filing factor through strategic rate negotiation and filing.
  • Utilize Group Quotation Tools: Adapt to market dynamics and optimize trade activities using group quotation tools (SpotON, AQUA Contract).
  • Support Trade Team: Collaborate with the Trade team in all pricing activities, including rate negotiation and filing.
  • Communicate Timely Updates: Provide regular updates on service rotation changes, rate revisions, and other important commercial developments to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Holder: Must hold a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of working experience in shipping or logistics industry.
  • Shipping Process Experience: Advantageous experience in shipping processes is required for successful management of this position.
  • Process-Oriented Approach: Essential to possess a process-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving approach.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Required effective communication skills and customer orientation.
