Job Title: Senior Database Manager

Ensure the optimal performance, security, and availability of Oracle databases by overseeing design, implementation, maintenance, and performance. This includes high-level strategic planning and technical execution across various database environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of skilled database administrators, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Define and drive forward-thinking database roadmaps, incorporating upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption strategies.
  • Expertly administer and optimize Oracle databases (12c, 19c, or later), encompassing RAC, ASM, Exadata & ExaCC environments.
  • Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Proactively monitor database performance and resolve issues using AWR, ADDM, and other advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Manage database patching, upgrades, and migrations across diverse environments.
  • Collaborate closely with application developers and infrastructure teams to support critical business applications.
  • Ensure seamless compliance with data governance and security policies.
  • Participate actively in capacity planning and architecture reviews.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Oracle database management and administration.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Exadata environments.
  • Proficiency in AWR, ADDM, SQL tuning, and system diagnostics.
  • Experience with RMAN, DDboost, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure for hybrid or cloud-native deployments.
  • Ability to implement encryption, auditing, and regulatory compliance measures.
  • Knowledge of Db2 and other open-source databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and collaboration abilities when working with cross-functional teams.
