About Leap

Leap is a non-custodial, inter-chain super wallet with 1M+ installs across extension, mobile, and web platforms. Its product suite includes MetaMask Snap for Cosmos, Compass Wallet for Sei, and Elements SDK.

The team is launching a 0→1 APAC-focused stablecoin payments initiative, tapping into strong market pull and early customer traction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust backend systems for payments and settlements.
  • Design scalable architecture and infrastructure atop fragmented on/off-ramp integrations.
  • Mentor and manage a small engineering team across infra + app layers.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and regulatory readiness.
  • Establish engineering best practices and delivery timelines.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js and API design.
  • Prior exposure to fintech or payments (strongly preferred).
  • Track record of integrating external APIs across geographies.
  • Leadership experience in scaling early-stage, ambiguous systems.

Skillset:

  • Node.js, TypeScript.
  • MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
  • API design & partner integrations.
  • Payments / fintech infrastructure.
