We are currently seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Chinese Language Specialist.

About the Position

This is a part-time contractual opportunity that requires the successful candidate to possess fluency in Mandarin (reading, writing, speaking) and English, with some exposure to software development concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality language expertise (Mandarin) for translation, interpretation, and review of technical/business documents.
  • Act as a liaison between software developers and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Support requirement gathering, documentation, and validation activities in both Chinese and English languages.
  • Offer valuable insights into local context and nuances to guarantee accuracy in deliverables.
  • If technically capable, assist in reviewing technical documents, user flows, or specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and proficient in English.
  • Prior experience in translation, business analysis, or support roles.
  • Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), tools, or IT projects is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Availability during morning IST hours on weekdays is mandatory.
Nice to Have
  • Hands-on experience or academic exposure to coding, application development, or technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with tools like MS Office, Jira, Confluence, or any project collaboration platforms.
