Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design electromechanical systems and components for passenger rolling stock.
  • Ensure integration of sheet metal parts and other electromechanical components.
  • Design and develop sheet metal components for rolling stock, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Design electrical harnesses for train systems, including train level harnesses.
  • Develop detailed schematics and layouts for electrical wiring and components.
  • Design electrical cubicles and cabinets for rolling stock, ensuring optimal placement and functionality.
  • Develop cable ducts and underframe components.
  • Design and develop driver panels and ceiling components for metro units.
  • Ensure designs are ergonomic and user-friendly.
  • Ensure all designs comply with rolling stock standards and requirements.
  • Utilize experience in rolling stock to optimize designs for performance and safety.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance.
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical support.
Requirements:
  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Rolling stock domain experience is essential. In some cases, equivalent experience in other industries/domains can also be considered.
  • Minimum duration of relevant experience required is 6 years for Electro-Mechanical Engineer position.
