Product Designer

Job Description:

The role of Product Designer involves creating innovative product designs that meet the needs of our customers. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing design strategies to create new products or improve existing ones.

This is a full-time on-site Design Engineer role located in Pune. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks related to design engineering, mechanical engineering, computer-aided design (CAD), electrical engineering, and product design.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with software such as Auto-CAD and Solid edge. Additionally, the ability to create general layout (GA) drawings and detailed fabrication drawings is essential.

A good knowledge of manufacturing processes like laser cutting, bending, welding, basic machining, and surface finishes is also required. Experience in making GA layouts will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D and 3D models of process equipment using CAD tools.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and manufacturing personnel.
  • Prepare detailed material take-offs on projects based upon drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Prepares detailed fabrication drawings and arrangement (GA) drawing.

Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with software such as Auto-CAD and Solid edge.
  • General knowledge and hands-on experience of drawing presentation, critical dimensioning, view presentations and parts list preparation.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience on advance assemblies and layouts with GD&T, surface finishes, welding details and engineering notes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP system (Better to have).
  • Experience in making GA layouts will be an added advantage.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Design Engineer, located in Pune. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design strategies to create new products or improve existing ones.
