Software Quality Assurance Expert

The key responsibility of this role is to guarantee the quality of software products. This position requires an individual with a strong background in software testing and quality assurance.

  • Expertise in various types of functional and non-functional testing, including system, integration, regression, database, performance, stress, etc.
  • Experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks using relevant code libraries.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in requirements and learn new tools and practices as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Requirements:

  • Understanding of software requirements.
  • Preparation of test plans in collaboration with the lead/manager.
  • Implementation of quality assurance best practices.
  • Development of automated test scripts using Selenium and BDD framework.

This expert will work closely with the implementation services team to ensure high-quality software products are delivered to clients. This role requires strong analytical and creative thinking skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software testing - manual & automation and quality assurance practice.
  • Experience in testing web applications, databases, and APIs.
  • Exposure to trade finance platforms (trade finance modules in large core banking platforms).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with the product development team to identify areas for improvement.
  • Development and execution of test plans to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Management and execution of regression tests to ensure system stability.
  • Improvement of test coverage to reduce defects.

As a quality assurance expert, you will be responsible for training and mentoring junior software test engineers, improving quality and productivity of output, and communicating with product developers and engineering peers.

Skills Required
  • Quality assurance methodologies.
  • Test automation frameworks.
  • Selenium Webdrivers, TestNG, Maven.
  • Database technologies like SQL server, MySQL.
  • Configuration management, version control.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They should also be proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
