Role: Embedded Hardware Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Embedded Hardware Engineer to join our Baseband Electronics Team. As a key member of our Earth Observation Satellite Payload Development Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded hardware systems for space applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop embedded hardware systems for space applications, ensuring seamless integration with software components.
  • Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools, adhering to space-grade standards.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure hardware and software components work in harmony.
  • Conduct simulations and analysis to verify hardware performance and reliability.
  • Perform hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure optimal system performance.

  • Document design specifications, test results, and technical reports.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, with a strong portfolio of high-speed design projects.
  • Extensive experience in high-speed design, including DDR3, DDR4, High-speed LVDS, SERDES, JESDs, Ethernet, and USB.
  • In-depth knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and practices, with a focus on space-grade components.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and constraints, ensuring optimal design for production.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools for signal and power integrity analysis, ensuring robust system performance.
  • Experience with compliance testing and certification processes, adhering to space-grade standards.
  • Knowledge of space-grade components and standards, including radiation-hardened components and MIL-STD-883.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC) and Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC) design and implementation.
  • High-speed interfaces such as SERDES and JESD, ensuring optimal data transfer rates.
  • Point of Load (POL) and Low Dropout (LDO) regulator design, ensuring efficient power management.
  • FPGA-based circuit design, leveraging programmable logic to enhance system performance.
  • Double Data Rate (DDR) memory design, ensuring high-speed data transfer and storage.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity analysis, ensuring robust system performance.
  • Understanding of thermal management in embedded systems, ensuring optimal system operation.
