Job Summary:

SAP is seeking a Senior Cloud Services Developer to join our dynamic team of cloud services developers. As a Senior Cloud Services Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering a scalable, secure, and highly available database solution that meets the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable cloud services.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as product management, designers, and end-users to ensure product success.
  • Lead a team of software developers and contribute to the development of new products and features, based on customers' requirements and aiming for a wide range of use cases.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring adherence to design principles, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud services performance, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of the services.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cloud computing, database technologies, and distributed systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of hands-on development experience in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java.
  • Good expertise in data structures/algorithms.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in monitoring tools such as Grafana & Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Strong passion for solving distributed systems challenges and experience working with distributed systems.
  • Experience with large-scale data architecture, data modelling, database design, and information systems implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
