Digital Network Administrator Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Digital Network Administrator to lead the management and execution of network technology initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing successful technology rollouts and team readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot network issues, referring to knowledge bases to resolve known or repetitive issues.
  • Provide escalated support to end-users on ICT issues and requests, such as hardware, software, network, and cloud services.
  • Install, configure, and update infrastructure systems and services.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and security of systems and services.
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of new solutions and upgrades.
  • Document and update procedures, policies, and manuals, and maintain accurate records of assets and inventory.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled after-hours monthly maintenance windows to perform system firmware/software patching and/or infrastructure updates that requires system downtime outside of business hours.
  • Support other regional locations of the organization as required, which may also include a time-shift of working hours to accommodate.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to L3 Network SMEs, supporting the process and coordinating with third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure process compliance by tracking and updating tickets, preparing shift handover reports, and maintaining SLA adherence.
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Configure and manage VPNs, LANs, and WANs.
  • Perform regular network assessments and security audits.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to optimize network resources and improve efficiency.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users regarding network-related issues.
