Software Development Professional

Overview of the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development and experience working with cloud technology. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements
  • Analyze and understand functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions, and systems
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure quality of the software
  • Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
  • Maintain documentation of software designs, code, and development processes
  • Customize modules to meet specific business requirements
  • Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or related field, or diploma in same field with 4-7 years of experience
  • Proficient in General Purpose High Level Language (e.g., Python, Java, C#.NET)
  • Proficient in Javascript UI Framework (e.g., React, ExtJs)
  • Proficient in SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostGres, Databricks)
  • Experience with event-based architecture (e.g., Mulesoft, AWS EventBridge, AWS Kinesis, Kafka)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing and supporting biopharma scientific software platforms
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, mainly Agile and Scrum
  • Hands-on experience with Full Stack software development
