General Position Summary

In today's challenging business climate, restaurants rely on technology more than ever. We're hard at work extending the reach and capabilities of our restaurant technology, ensuring that restaurants can engage with their customers in any manner they choose – increasingly, this means digital, mobile, contactless, curbside. We're building the restaurant of the future today, not just tomorrow.

NCR Corporation is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Hospitality team in Hyderabad.

We aim to turn the everyday into a great consumer experience, turning restaurants into places where customers are served quickly, receive exactly what they ordered, get great service, can provide feedback, and pay using mobile. Restaurant operators need to spend their valuable time managing customer relationships and providing a unique restaurant experience. We'll handle providing actionable, predictive information to improve profitability and overall customer experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Able to use professional concepts and company processes to solve routine problems. Works on problems of limited scope and complexity.
  2. Exercises judgment using standard software development processes in analyzing situations or data.
  3. Provides automated testing solutions and maintains them.
  4. Conducts tests, both functional, API, and integration testing.
  5. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance (technical documentation and specifications which are generally for internal use only).
  6. Exhibits high personal commitment to quality, implementing Development best practices.
  7. Works with Quality Engineering and Support staff to resolve problems with released software.
Required Experience
  1. Formal education level: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 4-6 years of experience in software testing or software engineering. Strong with 'Selenium with Typescript'.
  3. 2-4 years of Programming experience with C#, Java for automation.
  4. 2-4 years of Experience in Appium or Playwrite and in BDD automation.
  5. Functional, API, and Integration testing experience.
  6. Working experience with test management tools PractiTest.
  7. Knowledge of software documentation, utilities, and job control languages.
  8. Requires in-depth, working knowledge of major areas of software engineering.
  9. Demonstrated work history of successful application of concepts of typical problem solving within specialty.
  10. Good oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills
  1. Experience with agile concepts, especially Scrum.
  2. Experience developing retail or restaurants applications, Point of Sale, or payment applications is a plus.
