Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

The purpose of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role is to design, implement, and manage large-scale cloud environments for our organization. We seek an experienced professional with a strong background in cloud architecture and operations to lead this initiative.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, as well as overall 10+ years of experience in server infrastructure, preferably Linux.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to escalate and negotiate complex IT technical investigations on cloud and on-premises server infrastructure.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a timely fashion across various operating environments.
  • Drive solutions that are financially sound and operationally feasible.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, and maintain multiple data center and cloud environments.
  • Implement cloud projects, rectify operational issues, security patches, hardening, and improvisations.
  • Implement various cloud concepts, including computing, networking, and billing validation.
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree.
  • Over 10 years' experience in cloud and server infrastructure in large corporate networks.
  • Strong understanding of different versions of Linux - server provisioning, patching, vulnerability remediation, performance tuning, and upgrade.
  • Maintain system security and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
