Your Role:

As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for driving development and sustenance of various Network Functions and/or platform for our Routing Team. You'll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive innovation and ensure high-quality deliverables. You'll leverage your expertise to solve challenging problems and contribute to strategic engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for initial deployments of new routing products, respective new technology, major feature roll outs.
  • Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment.
  • Design and implement routing systems and networks.
  • Responsible for RFI/RFP.
  • Develop High level customer design HLD and able to prepare LLD (Low Level design).
  • Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions.
  • Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, SR, RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, Virtual Chassis etc.).
  • Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.
  • Interact with diverse teams like R&D, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG & TAC Team.
  • Develop and implement network security measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Should be well versed in IP routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, SR.
  • Should have understanding and application of MPLS based on LDP, RSVP and BGP.
  • Should be an expert in FRR techniques at various layers (IP FRR, RSVP TE FRR).
  • Should be an expert in L2VPN, VPLS, VPWS and L3VPN service constructs.
  • Should have hands-on working experience in service provider networks or product testing.
  • Should have customer interaction experience.
  • Should be willing to travel domestic and abroad.
  • Professional level Certification for Service Provider is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10 to 15 yrs experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
  • Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree.
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
