About Sakshi:

The Rakshin Project is an initiative by Sakshi aimed at empowering youth, particularly focusing on gender equality, safety, and advocacy against gender-based violence. It engages young volunteers, called Rakshins, who are trained to raise awareness on issues related to gender justice, child abuse, and sexual harassment. The project encourages active involvement from communities, educational institutions, and social organizations to create a safer and more equitable environment for all. Through workshops, webinars, and social media campaigns, Rakshins help spread knowledge and resources to fight against injustice and protect vulnerable individuals. Additionally, the project emphasizes collaboration with institutions, funders, and government bodies, contributing to reports, organizing events like certification ceremonies, and conducting live awareness sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct webinars to educate and engage youth on gender equality and related issues.

• Coordinate with workshop schedulers to ensure smooth execution of events.

• Conduct weekly meetings with workshop schedulers to discuss progress and challenges.

• Identify and engage active students to participate in the Rakshin Project, share their details with the content team and design team to get creatives ready, coordinate with the social media manager for making announcements, and conduct live sessions with Rakshins on Instagram.

• Contribute towards different reports, including the Ministry Report, Report for Funders, Tranche Report, and Accountability Report.

• Schedule webinars in Aspirational Districts and Institutes of National Importance.

• Conduct certification ceremonies to recognize the achievements of Rakshins.

• Coordinate with students and NSS Program Officers to address any queries or concerns.

• Prepare and manage the social media calendar, ensuring daily activities are aligned with the project's objectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum graduate or fresher with excellent communication and writing skills.

• Good presentation and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.

Desired Attributes:

• A dedicated worker who can work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

• Lively personality with excellent team player skills.

• Creative and influential individual who can work closely with the Executive Director and Team leaders.

• Consultant fee: Rs 30,000/month.

• Full-time position based in Vizag with hybrid facility to work.

• Can be from a Psychology, Sociology, or Legal background.
