About the Role

We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our Corporate Finance team. This role manages accounts payable and receivable functions, reconciles accounts, and ensures accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Canadian taxes, handles high transaction volumes, and can work independently in a dynamic corporate environment.

  • Invoice Processing: Verify, process, and reconcile vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Expense Analysis: Analyze and monitor accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including expense summaries and aging reports.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and manage relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Data Management: Ensure accuracy of financial data by maintaining and updating the accounts payable ledger.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax compliance for payable transactions.
