Job Overview

Cummins Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for leading technical project teams in an Agile manner and providing application or infrastructure technical expertise, analysis, and specifications for IT systems to meet business requirements in accordance with IT architecture policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the lifecycle of technical specifications from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the application, infrastructure, or complete solution.
  • Assist in technical analysis of potential solutions, including evaluating the technical fit and viability of commercial-off-the-shelf products versus custom-built solutions.
  • Deliver solutions adhering to standards and leveraging reuse of components.
  • Create high-level and detailed design of infrastructure or applications, interfaces, conversions, extensions, reports, and workflows while meeting architecture, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
  • Assist technical and infrastructure groups in understanding the solution design and specifications.
  • Work closely with IT technical service providers to ensure outsourced work packages are delivered to specifications, meeting key parameters of quality, schedule, cost, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Conduct or participate in formal design reviews and code reviews (where applicable) to ensure the detailed design specifications have been understood and coding standards have been adhered to by the development team(s).
  • Seek opportunities to promote reusability of component designs to reduce costs and shorten time to deliver solutions.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency in the build and deploy processes, leveraging automation where possible.
  • Assist in the test strategy and execution of master test plans.
  • Participate in the creation of standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines for the IT design and development community as well as work instructions or runbooks used for end-user support.
  • Analyze and revise existing systems and documentation to identify remediation or improvements in the application or infrastructure solution.
  • Provide level 3 support for critical non-routine issues.
  • Coach less experienced team members on technical matters.

Requirements

  • Significant relevant experience required; 5-7 years of experience.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as ability to work comfortably amidst ambiguity.
  • Over 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience of SAP ABAP programming, RAP programming, FIORI UI5 Apps, SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration, BTP, Web IDE, SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Fiori Theme designer, oDATA, Restful, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, jQuery, JSON, Debugging, EDI (EDIFACT and ANSI X12), SAP Note deployment, Monitoring & Support.
  • Multimodule implementation of S/4 HANA 1909 and higher will be a key differentiator.
  • Candidates with SAP Certification and extensive implementation experience with S/4 HANA will be considered.
  • Highly desirable to have cross-functional experience in MM, SD, FICO, PP, and Service on HANA modules, native integration, and experience with data management, middleware like Mule Soft, and in-depth cross-functional subject matter expertise, Incident management, and Production support.
  • Must be able to demonstrate succinct presentation skills and problem-solving analytical skills and be able to effectively coach IT technical analysts.
  • Showcase at least 2 successful end-to-end implementations of S/4HANA projects in mid-size industries and 1 implementation in a large size manufacturing industry will be a distinguishing factor for the ideal candidate.
  • Experienced in managing partnerships with third-party system integrators and other service providers in a project implementation.
  • Thorough knowledge of professional frameworks governing IT audits and will be required to liaise effectively with the internal and external audit team to ensure that changes in scope are agreed and that quality review work is performed at appropriate times in the audit.
  • Well-experienced in end-to-end Data Migration life cycle (ETL) activities and experience with SAP Industry dominant Loading tools (LTMC/Migration Cockpit).

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
