We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps background to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, adhering to best practices in clean, efficient, and testable code.
- Design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available microservices architecture.
- Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Optimize AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway to support applications and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deadlines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability, implementing automated testing and infrastructure monitoring as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 8 years of experience in backend engineering and DevOps.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) and experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, with a focus on GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
