Job Title: Chief Cloud Migration Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead large-scale cloud migration projects.

About the Role:

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing complex data pipelines for migrating data from various on-premise sources to cloud platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines for cloud migration.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Datastage, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and PySpark.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical leads to design efficient cloud migration strategies and data transformation solutions.
  • Evaluate and ensure delivery of high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Analyze and optimize performance of data pipelines and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data migration, data quality, and system performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the IT industry, specializing in data engineering and ETL development.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Datastage and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud migration projects, including a strong understanding of challenges and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Databricks and PySpark.
  • A solid understanding of cloud platforms and SQL concepts.
