About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Software & Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and manage infrastructure for high performance and uptime.
  • Develop and maintain software applications using Python and relevant technologies.
  • Work with databases to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a distributed team.
  • Maintain excellent communication with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Python programming language.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks such as Tornado, Flask or FastAPI.
  • Knowledge of video encoding using ffmpeg and image processing using GraphicsMagick or PIL.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and DevOps tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3.
  • Machine learning and associated tools.
  • Web/Proxy servers (nginx/Apache/Traefik).
  • SaaS stacks such as task queues, search engines, cache servers.
