Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to fill this critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical support for networking such as WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless and security.
  • Implement and support remote access solutions like IPSEC VPN.
  • Understand DNS/DHCP concepts.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve client issues.
  • Utilize Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment.
  • Provide IT Support for technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.
  • Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain accurate records of service tickets performed.
  • Maintain system configuration information within ticketing systems and ensure it is attached to relevant tickets.
  • Communicate with customers regarding ticket progress, changes or agreed outages.
  • Escalate service requests that require engineer level support in a timely fashion to prevent breach of SLA.
  • Work with team members to implement and improve best practices.
  • Utilize central management tools to resolve customer issues with minimal customer impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent desired.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a network engineer including phone, remote support, and hands on.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience installing/configuring routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto).

Certifications:

  • Currently pursuing one relevant certification track: Security+/ Network+/ CCNA / JNCIA.
  • Sophos, Palo Alto, Sonicwall.
