Senior Search Optimization Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Search Optimization Specialist to design, develop and optimize search solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Advanced Search Functionality: Utilize modern search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr or similar platforms to create high-quality search applications that prioritize relevancy, performance and user experience.
  • Develop Scalable Search Applications: Focus on creating efficient indexing strategies and data preparation pipelines to ensure seamless search functionality.
  • Create and Optimize Search Algorithms: Develop ranking models and retrieval methods to improve search quality and user satisfaction.
  • Knowledge Graph Creation: Build Knowledge Graphs from various corporate data sources to enhance search capabilities.
  • Query Understanding and Relevance Scoring: Implement and fine-tune query understanding, text analysis and relevance scoring to improve search results.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with a focus on software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience developing search solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of modern neural search techniques and vector embeddings.
  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs/Graph RAG and related infrastructure (Neo4J etc).

Technical Skills:

  • Search Engines: Elasticsearch, Solr or similar.
  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, Scala.
  • Databases: SQL, MongoDB or similar.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities to explain technical concepts.
  • Collaborative mindset for cross-functional team work.
  • Detail-oriented with strong focus on quality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
