Job Description

We are seeking a talented Motion Designer and Video Content Creator to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a solid portfolio of 2D or motion graphic explainers, strong storytelling ability, and comfort working with abstract concepts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and animate explainer videos in a style similar to Coinbase Learn
  • Transform scripts and storyboards into polished motion videos
  • Collaborate with copywriters and SMEs to simplify complex content
  • Create animated assets (charts, UI flows, crypto concepts)
  • Record or edit voiceovers, sync audio, and apply subtle sound design
  • Maintain brand style guides, animation principles, and reusable templates
  • Optimize videos for YouTube, app platforms, and social media

Tools and skills required include:

  • Adobe After Effects (primary tool for motion graphics)
  • Figma / Adobe Illustrator (for design and export vector assets)
  • Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (for final cuts and audio sync)
  • Audacity / Adobe Audition (voice cleanup, background audio)
  • Descript (AI-powered video editing and transcription)
  • Experience sourcing royalty-free music (Artlist, Epidemic Sound)
  • Comfortable with AI voiceover tools (like ElevenLabs) or studio VO
  • Blender (optional) - For 3D animations or visual flair
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3-6 years in motion design, video content creation, or explainer video production
  • A solid portfolio of 2D or motion graphic explainers (crypto or fintech domain is a big plus)
  • Strong storytelling ability and comfort working with abstract concepts
  • Ability to work under creative direction while also proposing improvements
  • Bonus: familiarity with Web3, tokens, wallets, or DeFi systems
Nice to Have

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating educational content for YouTube or learning platforms
  • Understanding of crypto, NFTs, or tokenomics
  • Experience using Lottie or exporting animations for web/mobile
Deliverables

Deliverables:

  • 1-3 minute animated explainers (script-to-final with feedback cycles)
  • Script-to-final output cycle (including feedback rounds)
  • Social media cutdowns (10-30 seconds)
  • Source project files (AE, layered assets, etc)
