Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Explorance.


About the Role


As a DevOps Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of different servers in the cloud or on-premises. This includes database management, Active Directory and Domain Controller administration, VPN setup, and backup and restoration of Virtual Machines and databases.


Key Responsibilities



  2. Administer and monitor servers in the cloud or on-premises.
  3. Manage databases, including MSSQL administration and maintenance.
  4. Administer Active Directory and Domain Controllers.
  5. Set up and manage VPN connections.
  6. Perform backups and restoration of Virtual Machines and databases.
  7. Implement recovery plans.
  8. Develop and implement data migration, transformation, and scripting solutions.
  9. Design and implement technical architectures.
  10. Troubleshoot infrastructure and product deployments, and correct bugs.
  11. Estimate costs and times for features and tasks.
  12. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and evaluate their applicability to our software development processes.
  13. Support developers and QA teams in implementing robust services, features, and APIs for our web products.
  14. Understand fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
  15. Follow and contribute to Explorance's standards and guidelines.

We value candidates who have:



  2. Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
  3. Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V.
  4. Proficiency in Powershell and Azure CLI scripting.
  5. Familiarity with web server technologies like IIS and Tomcat.
  6. Understanding of TLS Certificate management.
  7. Experience with physical server and networking configurations.
  8. Knowledge of SSO concepts.
  9. Familiarity with server-side languages like C#, Python.
  10. Understanding of REST/SOAP API concepts.
  11. Experience with Docker.
  12. Knowledge of Git.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the private and public Microsoft Azure cloud space.
  3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps practices.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  5. A good understanding of infrastructure and networking security concepts.
  6. Experience with configuration management software, source control software, and job execution tools, preferably Git and Azure DevOps.
  7. A good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and fundamentals.
