Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Oracle DBA to join our dynamic Development Team at Ziksu.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases in various environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, SQL & PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

They will also possess knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and cloud-hosted Oracle DB solutions.

In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, model integrity and respect in all interactions, and operate within Ziksu's framework, policies, and procedures.

The role involves collaboration with developers, DevOps teams, and other departments to achieve common goals and best practices.

You will make significant contributions to the mobile payments industry by bringing engineering excellence in innovating new features and functions in customer-centric applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Database Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases in Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor database health and availability using OEM and custom monitoring scripts.
  • Backup, Recovery & High Availability: Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Implement data encryption and access control policies, enforce security standards aligned with regulatory guidelines, and manage database auditing and logging.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop shell scripts, PL/SQL scripts, and Ansible/Terraform playbooks to automate recurring DBA tasks.
