Payments Domain Expert

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Payments Domain Expert. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of account-to-account payment flows, regulatory requirements, and business rules.
The role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements for payment platforms. The candidate will collaborate with product owners and domain SMEs to define workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Key responsibilities include leading functional workshops, event-storming, and sprint grooming sessions.
- Translate regulatory and business rules into implementable stories across payment lifecycle modules.
Familiarity with clearing/settlement processes, exception handling, and regulatory requirements is essential. Experience working with payment hubs, onboarding systems, or banking platforms is also required.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Task management tools.
- Writing user stories, BRDs, FRDs with traceability.
- Strong understanding of Agile practices – grooming, prioritization, backlog management.
Knowledge of API specifications, Swagger/OpenAPI is desirable. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly.
