Lead Model Change Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and deliver various quarterly model changes for our AXIS model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing independent testing and impact quantification and justification of model changes;
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and communication regarding model changes with wider teams;
  • Reviewing work done by junior members to ensure quality of work product during time-sensitive deadlines;
  • Serving as the primary touchpoint for Testing, Valuation, and Risk Management teams for support on business and model-related queries.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of US Life insurance and specifically Variable Annuity products. Excellent technical knowledge of US STAT/GAAP regulations is also required. Additionally, you should have expertise in Actuarial modeling - Moody's AXIS, including handling scenarios, formula tables, application of overrides, and awareness of significant switches in reserving assumption sets.

Furthermore, you should have excellent coding and troubleshooting skills in GGY AXIS modelling software, as well as good working knowledge of relevant actuarial concepts and methodologies.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of US Life insurance and Variable Annuity products;
