Optimizing AIX System Performance

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain AIX operating systems and applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery operations to prevent data loss.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions to maintain a secure environment.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages to increase efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to users and other IT staff to resolve issues promptly.
  • Document system configurations and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in AIX administration with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of AIX operating system architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with LPAR and virtualization technologies to optimize system resource utilization.
  • Proficient in shell scripting and automation tools to streamline processes.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols to ensure seamless communication.
  • Familiarity with storage management and backup solutions to prevent data loss.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
