Embedded Firmware Engineer Role

This position involves contributing to the development of cutting-edge IoT solutions, specifically focused on edge and gateway technologies.

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to partner with our R&D product lines in driving the strategy and architecture for IoT development.

  • Key responsibilities include collaborating with hardware and embedded engineers to deliver advanced automotive-grade IoT solutions.
  • Strong expertise in C and C++ programming is essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with Mishra C coding standards is also preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience with communication protocols such as CAN, UART, REST APIs, and BLE.
  • Providing technical insights to the team for resolving issues arising from customer engagements globally is another key aspect of this role.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • A degree in engineering or a relevant field such as electronics or computer science.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with embedded C firmware development for STM devices.
  • A solid understanding of MCU architecture and peripherals.
  • Experience with memory, power, and speed optimization of applications.
  • Knowledge of over-the-air upgrades to software and firmware of an embedded system.
  • Ability to forecast technical risk for projects or engagements.
  • Experience with RTOS, interface libraries, and USB drivers is a plus.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Coding for STM IoT devices, interacting with sensors and servers.
  • Creating documentation for code created for IoT solutions.
  • Designing, coding, and testing features of IoT devices, especially STM32 and ARM-based cortex.
  • Providing solutions to connectivity issues related to networks like BLE, LoRaWAN, etc., protocols with mesh capability.

Technical Requirements

This position demands:

  • Expertise in C and C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with Mishra C coding standards.
