Backend Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality backend solutions using microservices architecture.

Key responsibilities include participating in solution investigation, estimation, planning, and alignment with other teams, as well as designing and implementing backend solutions. You will work closely with QA Co P teams to integrate quality assurance tooling and processes within your team's application.

  • Design, implement, and deliver high-quality backend solutions using microservices architecture;
  • Participate in solution investigation, estimation, planning, and alignment with other teams;
  • Work in close collaboration with QA Co P teams to integrate quality assurance tooling and processes within your team's application;
  • Promote and implement test automation (e.g., unit tests, integration tests, e2e tests, and performance tests);
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, development, testing, and deployment;
  • Deploy applications on the cloud using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform;
  • Work closely with the team in an agile and collaborative environment, including code reviews, pair programming, knowledge sharing, and incident coordination;
Requirements
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
  • 6+ years of experience with Java 11+ and Spring framework;
  • 2+ years of TDD/BDD practical application;
  • 3+ years of working within Agile practices and knowledge of Agile values & principles;
  • Focus on automated testing and good experience with different levels of tests (unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests);
  • You can understand the architectural landscape and technically investigate and implement new features independently;
  • Passionate about writing clean, modular, testable code designed with architectural principles in mind and proper use of design patterns;
  • Strong experience with Dev Ops tools and practices (container orchestration, CI, monitoring, and alerting, AWS & Kubernetes);
  • Experience working with Microservices;
  • Experience with relational/non-relational databases;
  • Nice to have: experience integrating with Klarna, recent hands-on experience with end-to-end payment processes and systems, and integration with Pay Pal via providers, especially Adyen.
