Job Overview:

A seasoned leader is sought to spearhead the Platform Engineering function and Advanced Resolution Team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping internal developer platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

This technical leader will drive platform engineering capabilities, optimize platform reliability, and enable faster developer velocity through internal platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading advanced troubleshooting or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams during critical outages or complex technical escalations.

Job Description
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Platform Engineering organization, aligning with business goals and engineering best practices.
  • Build, scale, and manage internal developer platforms (IDPs) and infrastructure components that accelerate development, reduce cognitive load on application teams, and improve reliability.
  • Champion platform-as-a-product thinking — driving adoption, ease of use, and measurable business value.
  • Oversee design, development, and support of CI/CD, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), observability, service mesh, and cloud-native infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 17+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at Director level or above.
  • Proven experience leading Platform Engineering functions including build systems, infrastructure automation, service discovery, secrets management, and developer tooling.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, service mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd), Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Argo, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Demonstrated success leading advanced troubleshooting or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams during critical outages or complex technical escalations.
