DevOps Lead

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Lead to join our team at Cloud Counselage Pvt Ltd in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have expertise in infrastructure as a code, modernization, configuration management, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated monitoring for big data workloads, large enterprise applications, customer applications, and databases.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with development teams to document and implement best practices for existing and new products.
  • Design and develop solutions necessary for CI/CD workflow using Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes(EKS), REST APIs, and other services on AWS.
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies for Containers, Serverless, CI/CD, Cloud, etc.
  • Use best security practices in all kinds of tools and infrastructures.
  • Set up and maintain infrastructure in AWS to host multiple application services to support product development and operations.
  • Responsible for setting up data pipelines for analytics purposes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking between on-prem, cloud, and public networks.
  • Develop and contribute to several infrastructure improvement projects around performance, security, autoscaling, and cost optimization.
  • Set up monitoring on production systems and be proactive to ensure that outages are limited.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with maintaining & scaling AWS Core and Managed Services including VPC, EC2, S3 RDS, DocumentDB, EKS (Kubernetes), CloudFront, and Elasticsearch service in a production environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD) using the latest technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management and IaaC using Terraform/AWS Cloudformation template.
  • In-depth knowledge of scalability and reliability engineering.
  • Good understanding of HA and Resource optimised approach for deployments and scale.

  • Automation: Terraform Must, AWS Cloud Formation
  • Logging: ELK, EFK Must
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic
  • Visualizer: Grafana, Kibana
  • Containers: Docker must
  • Container Management: Kubernetes (AWS EKS) must, Helm must
  • Container Networking: Istio must, AWS service Mesh, Calico
  • Service Discovery: Consul, Eureka
  • Programming/Scripting: Bash Scripting, python, Jenkins pipeline groovy all must
  • Web Server: Apache/Ngnix must
  • Load Balancer: AWS-ELB / AWS-ALB / Ngnix / HA-Proxy
  • Database: MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL
  • Source code Management: Gitlab, GitHub
  • Container image vulnerability scanning: Sysdig Falco, Nessus, Twist-lock
  • API Gateway: KrakenD, Kong, Tyke
Qualities:

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Official Notice Period or Last working day of lesser than 30 days
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD) using the latest technologies.
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with maintaining & scaling AWS Core
  • Willing to work from the office 5 days a week
  • Willing to work in a start-up
