Mathematical Data Specialist

The role involves ensuring the accuracy and quality of mathematical data, developing simulation code to analyze math data, reviewing math formulas, and executing test plans to verify data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and execute simulation code for analyzing math data
  • Review and validate math formulas and information
  • Develop, review, and execute test plans and scripts for verifying math data
  • Follow established work instructions on a daily basis
  • Submit and track issues found during verification to ensure they are resolved
  • Utilize required databases for quality assurance and testing
  • Provide input to the weekly project status report
  • Provide detailed completion reports at the end of each project
  • Interface with other team members to effectively communicate and resolve reported issues

Requirements:

  • Advanced understanding of software test methodologies and the product development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in analytical and logical skills
  • Knowledge of math fundamentals (statistics and probability)
  • Knowledge of C/C++/C# programming
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Python or shell scripting languages is beneficial
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Capable of providing input and solutions to identified issues
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Capable of multitasking
