Product Innovation Lead

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Specialist to lead the development of new products and improve existing ones in the steel industry.

• This role involves developing and implementing a safe work culture through the Safety 1st Methodology to achieve zero incidents.
• You will implement customer-specific requirements across plants for value-added products such as Al-Si, HRPO, and Magnelis.
• Your key responsibilities include planning and scheduling trial materials for CRM#2 automotive complexes.
• You will monitor and control product trials at CGL#4/CGAL/PLTCM.
• Defining metallurgical routes for Al-Si, HRPO, and Magnelis products from steel making to finished goods is also a crucial part of this role.
• You will validate trial results starting from steel making to final finished goods (process parameters and product properties) and submit to customers.
• This role involves planning and tracking approval samples, preparing samples internally, and following up with customers post-dispatch.
• You will validate homologation processes.
• Following new product validation processes P0-1-2 is essential for this role.
• You will study process lines feasibility and expansion.
• Collaborating with parent companies (AM & NSC) for trial material designing and process parameter mapping is also a key responsibility.
• Communication with operations and supply chain teams for trials is necessary.
• You will validate trial protocols.
• Mapping GI TDC and grade mapping in systems is also required.
• Participating in product and process control plans and FMEA development is essential for this role.
• You will prepare APQP documents.
• This role involves witnessing trials at various processes.
• Implementing heat cycle and key process parameters for Al-Si, HRPO, and Magnelis products is crucial.
• You will prepare new product processing protocols for Al-Si, HRPO, and Magnelis products.

• A strong understanding and knowledge of continuous galvanizing and cold rolling processes is essential for this role.
• You will have knowledge of critical to quality process parameters for Al-Si, HRPO, and Magnelis products and their impact on product quality and mechanical properties.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive Al-Si, HRPO, and Magnelis product stabilization is required.
• You will have basic knowledge of customer-specific requirements for various automotive OEMs regarding product characteristics.
• An in-depth knowledge of product approval and homologation processes for various automotive OEMs is essential for this role.
• You will have understanding of various automotive grades, chemical elements, and their end applications and impact of properties and process parameters during product end applications.
• In-depth knowledge of various chemical elements and their implications in product characteristics and final application performance is required.
• You will participate in control plan and FMEA development for various processes according to ISO 16949:2016 standards.
• A basic knowledge and exposure to 7 QC tools, statistical tools for data analysis, DMAIC, quality circle projects, MSA, KAIZEN, 5S, Poka-Yoke, and various problem-solving methodologies is necessary.
• You will monitor and controlling homologation KPIs like number of products developed, number of grades sample submissions, grade development time, homologation time, etc.
• An in-depth knowledge of quality management system processes and product audits regarding various certifications like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and BIS, and other agencies is essential for this role.
• You will have familiarity with product and process simulation software, SAP (QM/PP module), Tableau, Power BI, Mini Tab, analytical and statistical process control software, manufacturing execution systems, and MS office software, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
