Job Title: Senior Manager - Data Analytics Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to lead our Business Reporting and Insights team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of data practices, tools, and technologies.

This pivotal role involves elevating our current reporting infrastructure from basic Excel reporting to a sophisticated data analytics ecosystem. The primary focus will be to oversee existing resources, lead the development of robust data practices and architecture, integrate machine learning (ML) and Generative AI into data operations, facilitate universal data accessibility, establish a single source of truth, comprehend varied function-specific data challenges, and execute data analytics Proof of Concepts (POCs). Proficiency in machine learning, data modeling, data curation, Tableau reporting, and AWS is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Business Reporting and Insights team to develop and implement advanced data analytics practices and strategies.
  • Upgrade the existing reporting framework by incorporating cutting-edge data analytics techniques and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Math, Statistics, and the theoretical foundations of Statistical & Machine Learning, Parametric and Non-parametric models.
  • Experience training and evaluating ML models. Perform statistical analysis of results and refine models.
  • Strong understanding of advanced data mining techniques, curating, processing, and transforming data to produce sound datasets.
  • Strong understanding of the Machine Learning lifecycle - feature engineering, training, validation, scaling, deployment, scoring, monitoring, and feedback loop.
  • Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures, and modeling.
  • Use various statistical techniques and ML methods to perform predictive modeling/classification for problems around client, distribution, sales, client profiles, segmentation, and provide relevant & actionable recommendations/insights for the business.
  • Stronghold on Visualization tool (or libraries) like SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, Python, etc.
  • Expert in working on Statistical tools (Python/R/SAS).
  • Experience with cloud computing infrastructure like AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Able to develop, test, and deploy models on Cloud/Web.
  • Collaborate with Tableau developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and utilization of Tableau and AWS for enhanced data insights.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy, ensuring easy access to data for all stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a singular, authoritative source of data truth across the organization.
  • Understand diverse functional challenges related to data and propose tailored solutions to address them effectively.
  • Drive the ideation, execution, and evaluation of data analytics led Proof of Concepts (POCs) to address business challenges and improve decision-making.
  • Provide guidance on the application of machine learning and General AI to optimize data operations and generate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Tableau developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and utilization of Tableau and AWS for enhanced data insights.
  • Provide functional and technical consultation to business and technical development team for migration of excel based data sources on to AWS.
  • Setup a Data Science practice within BRI reporting team to develop solutions for addressing business challenges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, etc.). A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in data management, machine learning, data analytics, and architecture, with a proven track record of leadership in a similar capacity.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in Python/R/SAS for developing analytics led solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Data designing, modeling, architecting, curation, and end-to-end data management and automation.
  • Experience in reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI etc. Exposure in data automation and creating data pipeline using ETL tools. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Tableau and AWS.
  • Proficiency in machine learning and General AI applications within a business context.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, best practices, and data governance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive a data-driven culture and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
